I was the contract horticulturist for South Bay Water Recycling/City of San Jose. I helped South Bay Water Recycling’s customers understand and use recycled water for landscape irrigation. I diagnosed problems at customer sites that (either real or perceived) could be caused by the extra salts that are present in recycled irrigation water.  I evaluated landscape sites prior to hook-up or switch over to recycled irrigation water, in order to get a “snap-shot” of existing plant and site conditions that can be monitored over time, as recycled water is used for landscape irrigation. I chaired a Recycled Irrigation Water User’s Group that holds regular meetings.  I wrote articles and provide presentations and other educational material on the recycled irrigation water use for South Bay Water Recycling, their customers, and other interested people and provided general professional services as requested by South Bay Water Recycling.
