I was hired as the expert witness for a legal case involving this facility, by the defense attorney firm, Hall & Evans of Denver, Colorado. The case involved a disease of geranium cuttings that were produced in the Viveros facility in Mexico and shipped to other greenhouse growers in the United States and Europe, who then root the cuttings and continue to grow them on to potted plants that are sold worldwide. Geraniums are one of the largest potted flower crops in the world. The case was settled in favor of the defendent, who implemented good sanitation and integrated pest management principles in the production of the flower crops at this facility. This photo shows (front to back) English primrose, Ornamental peppers, another row of English primrose, and Gerberas (transvaal daisys) in the back section.
